How To Be Like Molly Ringwald In NYC?

by | Jun 27, 2016

Well, maybe you can’t be exactly like Molly Ringwald, but you can have the chance to purchase her Greenwich Village duplex. That’s a start if nothing else.

headerThe breakfast club star is listing her coop two bedroom apartment at 122 East 10th Street for nearly 1.8 million.

The duplex comes with a fireplace, wood floors throughout the apartment, and ceilings ranging from 10 feet to 15 feet throughout the unit.

Molly poured a lot of love and care into the renovation of this apartment. The apartment is full of original details like the 10 foot exposed beams throughout the living room. The living room features antique wooden windows and a marble mantle that connects two wood burning fireplaces to complete the tone for the room.

Molly also paid special attention to the kitchen during her remodelling. She kept the classic design while incorporating some modern day conveniences such as stainless steel countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, marble mosaic flooring, and a vintage 1950’s Tappan stove.

The kitchen also has four south facing windows providing plenty of space for an herb garden and even a vegetable or two.

The building was built in 1900 and has three units spread out over five floors. The coop does allow some flexibility for the owners allowing them to live in the unit part time (Pied-a-Terre) which is a nice perk that not all buildings offer.

The common area and staircases have undergone an extensive recent renovation to match the standards that you would expect in Greenwich Village. The building also allows sublets, pets, and there isn’t a traditional board approval process (that perk is close to priceless). 122 East 10th Street is the only co-op in Renwick Triangle.
