The Agency Oakville and The Agency Halifax demonstrated their commitment to their communities by organizing two impactful charitable events. Led by local Canadian agents and staff, these springtime initiatives raised vital funds for neighborhood organizations that support the well-being of children and families.
A Big Win at Bowl for Kids’ Sake
The first event was Bowl for Kids’ Sake, a popular event that benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters. The Agency Halifax team members raised $1,415 by bringing their enthusiasm (and bowling prowess) to the alleys. The event exceeded all expectations by raising $153,000—$27,000 more than the initial fundraising target.
Funds from this event help support mentorship programs that pair young people with outstanding role models who provide them with encouragement and guidance.
Hockey for Hunger: Supporting Food4Kids Halton
In support of Food4Kids Halton—a local organization that provides nutritious food packages to children who have limited access to food on weekends and school breaks—our second charity event brought the community together for a fun and competitive hockey game.
Team members from The Agency Oakville laced up their skates and faced off against Burlington Fire in a spirited match for a great cause. Thanks to the incredible support from attendees and donors, the event raised $2,000 to help fight food insecurity in the Halton area.
“I’m extending a very heartfelt thank you to The Agency Oakville and the Burlington Firefighters for organizing an incredible hockey fundraiser,” said Jennifer Sully-Ferraro, Executive Director of Food4Kids Halton. “Thanks to their dedication and generosity, over 66 local kids facing food insecurity will receive food for the weekend. Their support is truly making a difference!”
